Frequently
Asked Questions
"We don't believe in silly questions, Only encouraging answers."
"Its all part of our process"
Can or should I talk during my session?
Some people prefer to relax in silence with their eyes shut, and some find it more relaxing to have a
conversation, whatever you find most comfortable we are fine with. Feel free to ask questions or
address concerns regarding the massage at any time. If you have specific requests of pressure or type of
technique, please let us know. This is your time, and we would like to work with you to develop the best
treatment plan for you.
What do I wear during my massage?
Whatever you feel most comfortable with. You may remain fully clothed, wear undergarments, shorts,
or be completely disrobed. The choice is yours. You will be draped with a sheet/blanket at all times to
preserve your privacy. Only the body part being worked on will be exposed, and all else is securely
tucked under the sheet.
What lotion will be used?
A light cream, oil or lotion will be used to allow your muscles to be treated without causing excessive
friction to the skin. If you have any allergies please make sure to list them on your intake form or discuss
with therapist prior to session.
How will I feel after my massage?
Some clients feel very relaxed, calm and loose. Some feel sore, tired and thirsty. Some experience
increased energy, and more self-awareness. It is possible to experience body soreness for up to 3 days
after a deep massage, if so, increase fluid intake and rest. Each person is different, allow yourself to let
go of the tension and have the massage kneed those knots away!
